Former Colchester man arrives at Ram Meadow

Bury Town have signed former Colchester United Academy midfielder Max Maughan, according to the Bury Free Press. He will be part of the squad scheduled to entertain Basildon United at Ram Meadow as the season kicks off tomorrow, and is highly regarded by Town manager Ben Chenery, who told the paper:

“Colchester took him into their scholarship programme at 15-16. He was a really bright prospect but then just went off the radar, really. He reads the game extremely well and has been schooled very well."
