Aveley Allen

George is back at Parkside- read and watch here

Aveley last night revealed that defender George Allen, who ended last season at Braintree Town, has returned to the club for the 2021-22 campaign.

George joined the Millers in the summer of 2019, moving over from fellow 2018-19 Playoff Semi-Finalists Coggeshall Town, for whom he'd made eleven appearances- including in Semi-Final defeat by Maldon and Tiptree. He started his football career with Stevenage, and went on to play for Bishop's Stortford, Canvey Island, East Thurrock United and Welling United as well as the Seed Growers.

He made twenty two appearances in 2019-20, and it would have undoubtedly been more had it not been for injury which kept him on the sidelines during November and December (and of course the pandemic that followed). He also managed to score two goals when he wasn't busy keeping them out.

Last season he managed half a dozen appearances before our season was cut short, and then moved over to National League South side Braintree Town, until their season was also cut short.
