We’ve had a magnificent Pitching In Isthmian season, one which has been illustrated and enriched by the work of a number of brilliant photographers, who have recorded it for posterity. Neil Graham brings us his very favourite image of the season.
• When was the image taken (match, event, etc)?
Bracknell Town v Hertford Town, FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round, 9th October 2021.
• Why is it important to you?
As a photographer the image sharp, eyes at me, you don’t have to describe anything, the photo says it all and I was ready to capture with all the correct settings. It shows the celebration of Seb Bowerman after scoring.
• Where can we find the rest of your work?
On my website- here.
• How and why did you begin taking photographs at football matches?
Following Bracknell Town and a love for photography coming together. I was also assisted by a friend with equipment who was a sports photographer.
• What are your hopes for the forthcoming season?
To continue taking sport images of several local clubs, players and supporters to document their 2022/23 seasons. Also to keep learning different techniques to improve my overall body of work.
If you regularly take photographs at our matches but haven't yet submitted yours, there's still time. Send it to Ian at townsendaround@gmail.com
