Gate strengthen at both ends

A keeper and a striker arrive at Hartsdown Park

Margate have announced two new signings prior to tomorrow's trip to Step Five Horsham YMCA, with a goalkeeper and a goalscorer reinforcing Jay Saunders squad.

The goalkeeper is Joe Tupper, who joins on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season. A member of the Eagles Development Squad, Joe has also made a number of appearances for the Under 23's and sat on the bench for the first team against Spurs and Liverpool last season. He started his career with Chelsea, and then went to Reading- and the Isthmian League won't be knew to him, as the Royals loaned him to Metropolitan Police.

The striker is Elliot Reeves, who scored thirty six goals for Ilkeston Town as they won the Midland Football League Premier Division last season- as well as picking up all of the clubs Player of the Year honours. He has been looking for a move higher up the pyramid since the summer, and has now found one- although a need to relocate for work purposes has meant it is in Kent rather than Derbyshire.
