Third place Sittingbourne had won eight of their previous nine, a fine run, and were on the road to take on mid table Ashford United, the Nuts and Bolts seeing their three match unbeaten revival come to a crashing end in a four-nil defeat against Ramsgate last weekend. The sides gave us a scintillating first twenty three minutes, particularly the Brickies, who scored three goals! Mitchell May put them ahead on ten minutes and although the hosts quickly levelled, Max Walsh with the equaliser, Donvieve Jones and then Danny Parish quickly made it three-one. A penalty from May five minutes before half time made it four-one at the break, and within five minutes of the restart it was five, Parish again on the scoresheet. That’s where the scoring stopped, and that’s three victories for the Brickies over the Nuts and Bolts this season- who did manage to strike the woodwork three times.
