It's not Non-League Day!

By Ian Townsend

But it might as well be, and we've a collection of titanic top of the table tussles. Here's what you can watch.

We've some phenomenal entertainment in prospect today- and given the absence of the top tier of the professional game there's no better chance to head along and find out what Non League has to offer.

In the Pitching In Isthmian Premier, our top three of Worthing, Enfield Town and Lewes have a combined one hundred and ninety three goals between them- that's more than the top three in any other division in the top eight levels of English football. Where could you possibly get better entertainment?

Our leaders, Worthing, are on the road to Corinthian-Casuals, home of one of the very best football programmes in the country and a side who have already played them three times this season. So far we've one victory each, and a draw!

Second place Enfield Town welcome Margate, the Towners having taken thirteen points from their last fifteen to keep the gap at the top down to four points, whilst third place Lewes- the highest scorers of the trio, with sixty six goals- travel to form side and FA Trophy holders Hornchurch. The Rooks have lost only one of their last eight, whilst the Urchins can boast an even better record, undefeated in nine and with eight of those matches seeing them pick up three points.

In the Pitching In Isthmian North Division, Canvey Island can go back to the top with a win at Brentwood Town, but the hosting Blues can go back into the top five with victory- and even though Town are thirteen points behind the Gulls they have four games in hand. Stowmarket Town also have a chance of hitting the summit, and they travel to face stuttering AFC Sudbury.

The match of the day in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central Division sees fifth host first and our two best defenses meeting up. Marlow, who have conceded only nine league goals this season, host Bracknell Town, who have done even better, letting in only eight. The Robins are seventeen points clear at the top of the table- rather remarkable given there are only thirteen games to go- whilst their hosts have slipped to twenty two points behind them, albeit with four games in hand.

Bracknell have won their last SIXTEEN league matches.

The Pitching In Isthmian South East has second hosting first, as Hastings United arrive at Ashford United. The visitors, reinforced by new signing Tommy Cooney, have a four point cushion at the top- although the Nuts and Bolts have a game in hand, and a home win today will really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Third place Ramsgate host sixth place Herne Bay- and a legends match after the main event.

We've no end of available excitement apart from those mentioned, too- and you can find the entire fixture list here. By the way, any groundhoppers might want to head to Woking, where you can watch Westfield host Guernsey at 1245 and still have time to walk across Woking Park to watch Woking take on Yeovil Town in the National League at 3PM.
