South Park's new loan signing Alex Laing announced his arrival in the best possible style yesterday, grabbing a hat trick in the three-three draw at Chertsey Town. Alex, who has moved over from Horsham, struck in the fifteenth, sixty fifth and seventy seventh minutes, first putting his side ahead and then twice drawing them level.
Alex hasn't yet made a start for the Hornets after signing for them in the summer from Burgess Hill Town, where he made eleven appearances and scored two goals last season, and has moved to the Pitching In South Central Division on a fourteen day loan. We suspect that yesterday's performance will have caught the attention of Hornets boss Dom di Paola.
Alex spent some time at Three Bridges during the 2019-20 campaign, making eleven appearances and scoring three goals, but had a far more successful 2018-19 as part of the Haywards Heath Town side which reached the South East Division Playoff Semi-Finals. He made thirty two appearances as Heath made their Isthmian debut, scoring six goals- and also spent time at Hanbury Park during their promotion-winning seasons of 2016-17 and 2017-18.
He has also played for Lancing, Worthing, Littlehampton Town, Horsham, Shoreham, Eastbourne United and AFC Uckfield Town.
