More Woods than in a golfers bag!

By Ian Townsend

Adam Laaref, Dan Williams and Archie James are new at Northwood

Northwood have significantly strengthened their squad with a number of new arrivals.

Winger Adam Laaref comes in on a dual registration deal from Pitching In Southern Premier side Hendon, but you might remember him as part of the promotion winning Hanwell Town side of 21-22, when he made twenty six appearances and scored three goals. He was also with the Geordies last season, before a loan move with North Greenford United and, as the season headed towards a close, time spent with Hartley Wintney. He's been a Green since the summer.

Striker Daniel Williams returns to the club from Uxbridge, where he has been for around six weeks. He appears to be attached to a bungee rope, so often does he move between the Woods and Honeycroft!

Dan has already scored twelve goals for the Woods this season- in twenty one matches. He joined the Woods in February, and scored three times in ten appearances as the campaign came to a close, after already managing six goals for...Uxbridge last season. His latest spell at Honeycroft has seen him add three goals in eight matches.

Dan briefly played for Hendon during 2019-20- and at the start of last season before heading for Uxbridge. In between those two Hendon spells he first played for Chalfont St Peter, and had a prolific 2019-20 season for the Saints, scoring sixteen goals in twenty three appearances, and then he moved to Tooting & Mitcham United, where he got five goals in his ten matches during the short 20-21 season and fourteen in twenty five during 21-22. He also spent a short time with Bedfont Sports, where he got fourteen goals in twenty matches.

Attacking midfielder Archie James joins the club from Oxhey Jets, where he scored nine goals in his twenty seven appearances. Aged only eighteen, and highly thought of at the club he is leaving behind, having won the Player of the Month Award for November by scoring in five different matches and winning the man of the match award twice.

Kaine Lucas Kennedy-Sinclair (thank goodness we don't put names on the back of shirts, he'd need an XXXXL to fit all of that) is a forward we've already told you about, although he was announced by the club this week- here.
