We asked our fabulous Pitching In Isthmian Photographers to choose their favourite photograph of the campaign, and tell us why it is important to them.

We’ve had a magnificent Pitching In Isthmian season, one which has been illustrated and enriched by the work of a number of brilliant photographers, who have recorded it for posterity. Steve Screech brings us his very favourite image of the season.

• When was the image taken (match, event, etc)?

AFC Sudbury v Colchester United, FA Cup First Round, 5th November 2021.

• Why is it important to you?

This was taken at the highlight of our season, reaching the F.A Cup First Round and playing local side Colchester United under the lights and live on TV. The lighting was something else thanks to all the lighting rigs shipped in for the event.
