We asked our fabulous photographers to pick their favourite photograph of the Pitching In Isthmian campaign, and explain why it’s important to them. John, a long-serving Ram, was certainly in the right place at the right time!

When was the image taken (match, event, etc)?

It features Kane Rowland's Scorpion Kick in Ramsgate's last minute draw with Haywards Heath Town on 25 March 2023.

Why is it important to you?

My video went viral on Twitter with over 500,000 views although I didn't get any acknowledgement for the video but it was a tremendous goal, and I was lucky enough to video it.

Where can we find the rest of your work?

My photos/videos are used in the match reports that are used in our local online paper Isle of Thanet News

How and why did you begin taking photographs at football matches?

I've been taking photos/videos for the last 2/3 years for Ramsgate's home and away matches as a favour to the match reporter Andy Mason.

What are your hopes for the forthcoming season?

Whatever happens, I will still be there supporting the Rams as I have been for the last 70 years.
