Sutton Simeone

Antonio Simeone debuts for Sutton Common Rovers- against one of his former clubs

Sutton Common Rovers continued with their attempts at a great escape with victory over bottom side Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday- and they had a new face in the heart of their defence, Antonio Simeone signing on.

Antonio has recently been in charge at Redhill in the Combined Counties league, taking over as player/manager in the autumn and departing mid February. Prior to his managerial role he had been solely playing for the club.

Prior to his time at Redhill he was club captain at Guildford City, and you might remember him from his time at Chertsey Town during the pandemic seasons, joining the club towards the end of the 2019-20 campaign and also playing at the start of the 20-21 season (not that we got far beyond the start of that one). He spent time with Tooting & Mitcham United during 2018-19, and has also turned out for the likes of Ashford United, Godalming Town and Molesey.
