Cameron Brodie and Freddy Barton arrive at Margate, in time for their clash with Horsham tonight


Margate have announced a double signing as they prepare to entertain Horsham in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier tonight, with the arrivals of Cameron Brodie and Freddy Barton.

Dartford man Cameron spent time on loan with Cray Wanderers last year, scoring on his debut. He went on to play thirty three times in total, and also scored five goals.

Cameron came through the Darts Academy and also played a dozen games on loan at Sittingbourne during the 2019-20 season, and during the 2020-21 campaign played six matches on loan for Tilbury, scoring twice. he joins Gate on an initial one month loan.

Freddy, a full back, is another player who spent last season with the Wands. Freddie moved to Cray from Bowers and Pitsea, where he made three appearances at the start of last season- against Worthing, East Thurrock United and Arlesey Town. He had only been at the Len Salmon for a short time, after leaving Charlton Athletic where he had come through the Academy. He spent some time on trial at Watford before joining Bowers.

Last season saw him play thirty two times for Wands, and he also played in their two-two draw with Bognor Regis Town last week.

Adam Topley and Emmanuel Oluwesemo have departed Hartsdown Park.
