Two new Dockers

By Ian Townsend

Or, if we're honest, one new Docker and one returning Docker

Tilbury yesterday welcomed Lewis Smith back to the club from local rivals East Thurrock United. Lewis aged 29, played for the Dockers during the 2018/19 season and as captain scored 27 times. He headed to East Thurrock United during pre season, but has struggled to balance family and work and to deal with the longer trips undertaken by Premier Division clubs. As such, he is once more a Docker, made another debut yesterday against Aveley, and Immediately got back on the scoresheet.

Lewis was joined by Mitchell Ware, who moved over from Barking- and also made his debut yesterday. Mitchell had made four appearances for the Blues in the South Central Division this season, and has also played for Lowestoft Town and Aveley on loan from the Tractor Boys.
