Vita Risk Solutions: Manager of the Month Award, August 2023

In conjunctions with our friends at Vita Risk, we honour the best managers of the first month of the Isthmian season

Premier Division

It’s time for a chat- or, if we’re honest, an entire team of them! August was a magnificent month for newly promoted Chatham Town, as five matches brought five wins and a table-topping start to the season. Bognor Regis Town, Folkestone Invicta, Cheshunt, Dulwich Hamlet and Potters Bar Town were each swept aside by Kevin Hake’s men- and that’s why Kevin wins the first managerial silverware (ok, it’s glass) of the campaign. Congrats to Kevin and the Chats.

North Division

We’re off to the First Call Community Stadium bearing a prize, and we’re delivering it to Steve Tilson, manager of Heybridge Swifts. Three league matches, three league wins, Stowmarket Town, East Thurrock United and Ipswich wanderers vanquished, and the top of the table summed up a fine August for last season’s defeated Play Off Finalists, who have shown why they are amongst the favourites for success this time around. Congrats to Steve, and to all at Swifts.

South Central Division

It’s time for Chips! We’re taking the High Road to High Road and celebrating the start to the season made by Dean Sammut and his Chipstead side. Three games, eleven goals, two thrashings- six-two against Hartley Wintney and four-one against Corinthian-Casuals, meant that the Chips ended the month at the top of the table. Now they have a second trophy to go with the Performance of the Month award we’ve already announced- so our congratulations go to Dean, his players, and to all who eat at the Muddy Boot Snack Bar!

South East Division

Steve McKimm has certainly hit the ground running at Cray Valley PM. As we write they remain unbeaten in all competitions, but we’re focused specifically on the league and specifically on August, a month which saw them score an average of four goals per league match. It’s shaping up to be a fine season for the Millers, and already they have a trophy to show for it, as Steve is our Manager of the Month, courtesy of the lovely folks at Vita Risk Solutions. Congrats to Steve, and to the green hordes around him.
